ALEXANDRIA, VA November 12, 2016 — Burtel Security & Fire Systems, one of the largest locally-owned security companies in the Metropolitan Washington DC, Northern VA and Baltimore areas, acquired Solid State Systems on Thursday September 29, 2016.
Award-winning Burtel Security & Fire Systems was established 44+ years ago. Solid State Security, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, was established in 1937. With this new acquisition, Burtel Security & Fire Systems, (with its residential arm, American Home Security) is ever more an industry veteran. It now has a combined total of 175 years providing commercial security systems and residential security services.
Burtel credits innovative commercial security systems solutions and customer loyalty to their success and longevity. Many customers date back more than 30 years.
